The class of 2027 at XLRI – Xavier School of Management received an average stipend of Rs 1.6 lakh per month and a median stipend of Rs 1.55 lakh per month, as part of the summer internship placement process across its flagship two-year programmes.
The highest domestic offer of Rs 3.5 lakh per month was made by JP Morgan Chase in the banking, financial services and insurance sector.
The two-year programmes are the Postgraduate Diploma in Human Resource Management, Postgraduate Diploma in Business Management and Postgraduate Diploma in Logistics and Supply Chain Management.
A total of 583 students from both the Jamshedpur and Delhi-National Capital Region campuses participated in the process and secured 584 offers from 114 leading organisations, including 28 new recruiters. Offers were spread across key domains such as consulting, finance, sales and marketing, general management, product management, operations, systems/IT and human resources, the institute said in a statement.
The average stipend for the top 5%, 10%\ and 25% of the batch stood at Rs 2.49 lakh per month, Rs 2.40 lakh per month and Rs 2.23 lakh per month, respectively. Notably, 38% of the batch secured stipends above Rs 2 lakh per month, 62% above Rs 1.5 lakh per month and 81% above Rs 1 lakh per month.
“This year’s process reflects the institute’s enduring commitment to forming responsible business leaders who excel amidst evolving market dynamics,” said Dr. (Fr.) Sebastian George S.J., director, XLRI Jamshedpur.
The top domains in this summer placement were management and advisory consulting, sales and marketing, and general management. Leading recruiters included Aditya Birla Group, Accenture Strategy, Amazon, American Express, Bajaj Auto, Boston Consulting Group, Flipkart, Hindustan Unilever and ITC, according to the institute.
Among the 28 new recruiters at XLRI were firms such as Eternal, Standard Chartered, JioStar, UKG, Pine Labs, Meesho, Deloitte USI, Deutsche Bank IB, Diageo and Valorant Consulting.
