EC didn't act on deletion request from one seat: Pawan Khera

Responding to BJP's charge that he possessed two electoral photo identity cards (EPIC) in two different constituencies of Delhi, Congress spokesperson Pawan Khera on Tuesday said he had applied for deletion of his name from the New Delhi constituency when he shifted out of there but the Election Commission (EC) didn't act on it.

"I shifted from there (New Delhi seat) in 2016. I followed the procedure to get my name deleted from there. But why is my name still there?" Khera asked, claiming that was how fake votes have been created, as has been pointed out by Rahul Gandhi.

"This is the question that we are raising regarding the working of the EC... I would like to know from the EC who is being made to cast vote from New Delhi constituency in my name. I want the CCTV footage. There are hundreds and thousands of such names in every constituency of India. These are being misused," he said.
