TV star Nigel Planer has revealed how his two houses and two cars were "all gone" following the breakdown of his marriages.
The actor - who is recognised for programmes such as The Young Ones and Filthy Rich and Catflap - has been wed three times. He has now been with his wife Roberta for over a decade, having separated from her previously and gone on to tie the knot with two other women before they reunited.
Their on-off romance now forms a significant part of his memoir, Young Once: A Life Less Heavy, reports Bristol Live.

Speaking about their relationship on BBC Breakfast on Monday (September 22), the star described his life as "a bit of a rom-com".

"She's a bit older than me, so I helped bring up her rebellious adolescent children," he explained of his now wife.
"And I was a bit young to do that. I was like 25, bringing up teenagers. And I became a grandfather at just 29 or 30. It's a bit ridiculous, really. Anyway, then we separated. And I had two marriages, two divorces, two sons. Two sets of solicitors. Two houses, two cars. They're all gone."
"I kept the sons, obviously, I've hung onto them," added the performer, who portrayed long-haired Neil in hit 80s comedy The Young Ones.
He and Roberta subsequently reignited their romance.
"We got back together again 25 years ago, me and Roberta, my wife," said Nigel. "And we have been married now for 13 years. And I've made that... the book is sort of the story of our on-off-on relationship."
Nigel, 72, revealed that Roberta had been a significant part of his life "through all those comedy years".
"That's the other thing, is that she was right through the early 80s, she was with me, and she knew all the guys," shared the actor, whose other TV credits include Shine on Harvey Moon and The Grimleys.
"She is sort of part of the whole group of us.
"And so I was wanting to write about that as well because I'm a real diary and note-keeper."
BBC Breakfast airs from 6am on BBC One.
