Married at First Sight UK has been hit with complaints over Sunday night's episode, which saw groom Steven lash out at his bride Nelly in an expletive rant. Fans of the E4 show have followed Steven and Nelly's rocky romantic journey over the past few weeks - however, it reached a head in Sunday episode after the two clashed in a fiery row.
In the episode, Steven and Nelly were seen arguing in their apartment, with Steven telling her: "I get bored of saying the same thing over and over again." She replied: "You keep saying that," with Steven shouting back: "Well, don't antagonise me then!"
When Nelly warned Steven not to "raise your voice at me", he replied: "F**king idiot." Viewers weren't impressed with his behaviour - and now a number have complained to Ofcom.

The E4 show received 81 complaints over Sunday's episode, with Ofcom saying in a statement: "The majority of complaints related to Steven’s behaviour towards Nelly."
After Sunday's episode, fans took to social media to slam Steven's behaviour - particularly after he described himself as a mild-mannered man to the experts at the commitment ceremony. "#MAFSUK Steven - I’m really committed to this relationship. Also Steven - You f*****g idiot. F**k off. Experts- are you normally this angry? Steven - no I’m a really mild mannered man. What a liar this guy is. Run Nelly," one fan wrote on X.
Another said: "Steven is just getting worse every episode, plenty of people have their own stuff going on and don’t choose to act and speak aggressively #MAFSUK." A third said: "lol i still cannot believe steven’s behaviour, i’m most definitely not buying anything that he’s selling. loser. #mafsuk."
Earlier this week, The Mirror's MAFS columnist and ex star Emma Barnes warned that Nelly "needs to run", writing: "Last week, I said if Stephen breaks Nelly’s heart he’ll have the nation to answer to, and in my opinion she needs to run, our queen is not an idiot. Super excited for the intruder couples."
Last week, viewers called for MAFS to send Steven home after his meltdown at a dinner party. The contestant was confronted by Nelly after fellow bride Julia-Ruth revealed that he had made "concerning" remarks about his sex life before the experience while out at a bar with the cast.
"Why the f*** does it matter what I do? People are starting to f*** me off," he said before storming out of the room. He went on to call the group "c**ts", shocking the MAFS experts who were watching from another room.
