The recipe notes said: "Give this classic a flavour boost with the option of adding pecans and chocolate chips, or try any other nuts if you prefer. Make this in the air fryer for ease." For this recipe, you'll need a loaf tin lined with baking parchment.
Ingredients:- 150ml sunflower or vegetable oil
- 150g caster sugar
- 150g self-raising flour
- One teaspoon of baking powder
- Two eggs
- Two overripe bananas
- 50g pecans, optional
- 50g chocolate chips, optional
Oil a loaf tin and line it with baking parchment; ensure this fits snugly in your air fryer basket.
If it doesn't, use a muffin tin or a shape that will work with your air fryer.
Heat the air fryer to 160°C. Combine the oil, sugar, flour, baking powder and eggs in a bowl.
Mash the bananas, then mix them into the batter. Mix in half the pecans and all of the chocolate chips.
Pour into the tin and top with the remaining pecans.
Bake for 45 minutes to one hour until a skewer inserted in the middle comes out clean. Check after 20 minutes in case it's beginning to brown too much.
If so, turn the heat down to 140C, or cover with foil to prevent burning. Leave to cool on a wire rack before serving.
