Carlos Alcaraz has shrugged off many questions surrounding his love life during his tennis career but it now looks like the Spaniard may have a new beau in his life. The US Open champion often dismisses speculation surrounding his personal life outside of the sport and has been open about his relationship status.
The 22-year-old recently exited the Paris Masters at the round of 32 to Britain's Cameron Norrie, losing in straight sets 4-6, 6-3, 6-4. The six-time Grand Slam winner will now be turning his attention to the 2026 tennis season with more opportunities to boost his major trophy count coming as soon as January at the Australian Open. Here, Express Sport has delved into Alcaraz's comments on his love life and rumours linking him with fellow tennis star Emma Raducanu.
'Difficult' confessionAlcaraz opened up about his personal issues in 2024, admitting that finding someone to share romance with can be tricky due to his work-life balance. When asked about his relationship status, the young star told The Times: "No, I am single.
"I am looking for someone. It can be difficult as a tennis player to meet the right person because you are travelling all the time."
The 22-year-old added a cheeky "I hope so" when told he wouldn't be short of people looking to date him and it seems that many people saw a weird coincidence in these words.
'Boyfriend ban' for rumoured lover Raducanu Emma Raducanu is a name that typically makes the rounds alongside Alcaraz but not always just for their prowess on the court. Many reports have speculated that the pair had or have been secretly dating, especially after they joined up to compete in mixed doubles at the US Open.
Raducanu has had some trouble with love herself after telling The Times last year that her parents banned dating when she was preparing to become one of the biggest stars. She said: "My parents were very much against [boyfriends] as it interfered with training. When I was younger I wasn't even allowed to hang out with my girl friends.
"A lot of the time I was very resentful. But it made me very confident and comfortable in my own company."
However, it seems that despite the 'ban' likely being lifted for Raducanu in her adult life, Alcaraz's head has been turned elsewhere.
Model beau in his court It turns out that Alcaraz is reportedly dating Sports Illustrated model Brooks Nader. The social media star, who is six years his senior, made the hint that she attended the US Open to watch him play instead of Jannik Sinner - who she had been linked with at the time.

During an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel, the 28-year-old was asked if she had an eye for Sinner after being spotted at the tournament. She responded: "I don't think he was playing in that one. You're close, you're warm."
Then, during Raising Cane's New York Fashion Week show, Brooks' sister Grace Ann spilled all on the pair's romance. She said: "The rumours are true. Dating is such a loose term. But I do know he's the man of the hour."
Alcaraz and Raducanu remain 'just good friends' So, with Alcaraz reportedly dating a model and Raducanu back in business preparing for next year, it seems that this close-knit friendship is all it ever has been for the pair. Speaking before the duo took centre stage at the US Open for mixed doubles, the Brit clarified the nature of her relationship with Alcaraz.
She said: "It is nice and I think, for all of us, we really value those connections that we had from when we were young. Because when you become a bit more known or a bit more successful, you just find yourself reverting back to people you knew from a young age and because that's a real genuine connection, because it becomes very busy and you have a lot more friends - but the ones that you've known for a long time mean a lot more to you.
"I remember he beat Stef [Tsitsipas] in the third round and it was like a big win, his breakout win on a big stage and it was really cool to kind of go through that tournament together. We have a good relationship still. He's obviously overtaken me a lot, but it's nice we have that from a while ago."
