In Friday's episode of Emmerdale, businessman Jai Sharma (played by Chris Bisson) was seen walking around the village listening to a motivational podcast. He said mantras aloud and even called himself "unstoppable" as he finished the podcast before making his way to a meeting.
Later on, a furious Caleb Milligan (Will Ash) wasn't pleased when Jai finally walked into his office as he'd been trying to get in touch with him "all day". Caleb made Jai sit down and raged: "Look, this is my offer. I make you the executive director of operations. I'll pay you back everything that I owe you." Jai wanted to get back the money Caleb conned him out of, plus interest. However, the latter wanted Jai to delete any incriminating footage of him helping killer John Sugden (Oliver Farnworth) first.
Jai soon deleted the footage and then demanded to know what hold John had over Caleb. However, Caleb erupted at Jai and grabbed him by the collar, threatening to hurt him if he ever squealed.
While tuning into tonight's instalment of the ITV soap, many people were left moaning about Jai. One person shared: "Jai used to be a great character, he's just annoying now #Emmerdale." A second quipped: "He's always been annoying."
A third wrote: "We lost one weirdo in John and gained another in Jai #emmerdale." A fourth speculated: "I think Jai could become the next victim.. #Emmerdale."
Elsewhere in the episode, newlywed Gabby Thomas (Rosie Bentham) admitted to Laurel Thomas (Charlotte Bellamy) she had cheated on her husband Vinny Dingle (Bradley Johnson) - but regretted her unwise decision.
In another part of the village, former lovers Aaron Dingle (Danny Miller) and Robert Sugden (Ryan Hawley) almost shared a kiss on a sofa, but the latter rejected his ex as he leaned in.
At the end of the episode, Robert looked shifty as he received a text message from a mystery man whom viewers might meet in the coming weeks.
Could they be a love interest of Robert's, or someone he served time in prison with who is after something?
Emmerdale airs on weeknights at 7.30pm on ITV and ITVX.
