Princess Kate put on a solemn display as she attended the Remembrance Sunday service at the Cenotaph as she joined her husband, Prince William, along with senior members of the Royal Family. The 43-year-old appeared to be deeply moved during today's National Service of Remembrance on Whitehall.
King Charles, who is the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, led the nation to pay their respects and commemorate the enormous sacrifice of so many. Kate was spotted in the centre of the balcony of the Foreign Office alongside Queen Camilla. The pair were joined by the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh, as well as the Duke and Duchess of Gloucster.
The Princess was the picture of quiet dignity as she stepped out in an elegant black ensemble paired with glittering pearl earrings.
The princess was spotted wearing the Collingwood Pearl Drop earrings, which are reportedly worth between £30,000 and £35,000.
It is thought that Prince William gifted these earrings to Princess Kate, after he inherited the jewels from his mother, Princess Diana.
The late royal wore them on countless occasions and famously paired them with her iconic black revenge dress, which she wore to a gala at the Serpentine, London, in 1994.
This was Kate's second public appearance in just two days as she joined the royals, alongside Prince George yesterday evening for the Festival of Remembrance.
Princess Kate donned a stunning black dress by Alessandra Rich, one of her go-to British designers who has been responsible for some of her best looks.
The timeless piece featured an exaggerated white collar, peplum style detail and the HMS Glasgow Brooch.
She also paid a touching tribute to the late Queen Elizabeth II by wearing a glittering pair of pearl earrings once belonging to her, as well as a diamond pendant necklace.
The Princess attended the ceremony solo, as her husband, the Prince of Wales had only just returned to Britain a few hours earlier after a five-day visit to Brazil.
During the trip, William, 43, travelled to Rio de Janeiro and Belém, where he focused on environmental initiatives and delivered calls for global leaders to step up efforts to safeguard the planet.
Instead, she was joined by her eldest son, 12-year-old Prince George, the future King. The young royal has been slowly taking on more public duties, having attended a veterans' tea party at Buckingham Palace in May to commemorate the 80th anniversary of VE Day.
