The Chase's Paul Sinha was quick to call out one unlucky player after he spotted a minor rule break minutes into the ITV show. During Thursday's visit (October 30) to the ITV studios, host Bradley Walsh welcomed four new hopefuls onto the teatime show. He introduced Alan, Kathy, Genevieve, and Andy to the viewers at home before they put their general knowledge to the test.
This week, the quartet went up against Paul 'The Sinnerman' Sinha, who certainly brought his A-game - but the team made sure to give it a final chance. First up to the podium was Alan, who earned an impressive £6,000 in the cash-builder round.
The Irishman went on to prove that he is both brains and brawn when he secured his place in the final round after the face off with the comedian. Next up to the table was Kathy, who added a further £7,000 to the jackpot when she soared through to the final round after a head-to-head battle with the pro-quizzer.
But things took an unexpected turn when Genevieve took on the Chaser. The brunette beauty struggled in the cash-builder round, earning only £2,000 in two minutes, but eagle-eyed fans spotted that the player had broken one minor rule.
During the quick-fire round, Genevieve started to crumble under the pressure and was forced to "skip" questions. But the Chaser, and fans tuning in at home, pointed out that she used the incorrect terminology. Before the show, players who are stumped on a question are asked to say "pass" so that Bradders can move on.
It didn't take long before viewers flooded to X to point out her error online, with one user writing: "Skip? WTF, it's pass you donugh [laughing emoji]" as another agreed: "Skip, how annoying ffs".

Meanwhile, a third quipped: "On behalf of the county of Lincolnshire I apologise for skip woman... Forgive her, she knows not what shame she has brought upon the shire of Lincoln [laughing emoji]." When her two minutes were up, Bradley welcomed Sinha back to the show where he immediately poked fun at her mistake.
He joked: "Genevieve, welcome to the game. You never said pass once," to which she nervously replied: "I said skip a few times, didn't I?" Ultimately, the bride-to-be struggled in the one-on-one round, with the funnyman sending her packing after the fifth question.
Hoping not to follow in her footsteps, Andy stepped up to the podium and added a further £7,000 in the cash-builder round. Thankfully, the star managed to add his winnings to the jackpot and secure his place in the final chase.
In the final round, the team of three correctly answered 19 questions in two minutes, which was no match for the Sinnerman, who failed to catch them, sending them home with a staggering £20,000 to split three ways. The Chase airs on weekdays from 5pm on ITV1 or catch up on ITVX.
