Apple's latest iPhone range is less than two months old, but it's already on sale for Black Friday. Ahead of this year's sales event, we've spotted a deal that really caught our eye for the iPhone 17 Pro 256GB.
It's available at Currys-backed site Mobiles.co.uk, which is also throwing in 500GB of data for the price of 100GB. The phone is currently reduced to £44.99 per month and £99 upfront on iD Mobile's 500GB tariff.
I covered the iPhone 17 launch in September, when this Pro model cost £49.99 per month and £155 upfront on iD Mobile's 100GB plan, meaning shoppers can shave a combined £176 off the monthly and upfront cost with this latest deal. While the discount itself is enticing enough, what makes it stand out is the fact that it usually includes 100GB of data but has been upgraded to a 500GB allowance at no extra cost.
A similar deal is available with the standard iPhone 17, now down to £39.99 per month and £159 upfront, while the iPhone 17 Pro Max comes in at £49.99 per month and £99 upfront. The catch is that Mobiles.co.uk has not set an end date for the deals, only confirming they will remain live 'while stocks last'.
One caveat to the deals is that, like most providers, iD Mobile will increase its prices each year, so customers signing up for the £44.99 iPhone 17 Pro deal will see their bills rise to £46.49 from April 2026 and £47.99 from April 2027. Over the 24-month contract, the total cost comes to £1,217.76, compared to the £1,099 price tag when buying outright from Amazon or Apple.
While this is £118.76 more expensive, it allows customers to spread the cost over two years and comes with a huge data allowance. For lighter users, Sky Mobile's iPhone 17 Pro deal may be more appealing, with prices starting at £34 when spreading the cost and £20 upfront.
The key difference is that this comes with a 100MB allowance, which most people will eat through very fast. 50GB is more than enough for the average user, so it's worth considering Sky's current offer of a 40GB data plan at £10 for the first nine months of the 12-month minimum term.
Our Technology Editor David Snelling gave the iPhone 17 Pro a perfect five-star rating in his review earlier this year, saying: "If you love Pro devices, this is definitely a year to upgrade as the changes are pretty dramatic over previous models. The iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max pack quite a punch.
"They finally look different, get improved processing, longer battery life and will keep cooler under pressure. The cameras are superb, the screens are sharp, and they offer bonus extras such as professional video recording.
"Just remember that these are now more expensive, and the cheaper iPhone 17 has had a major upgrade this year. There's no question the 17 Pro and 17 Pro Max are the ultimate iPhones, just be prepared to pay a premium to have one in your pocket."
