Cricketer Robin Uthappa appeared before ED officers on Monday for questioning in connection with a money laundering case against 1xBet online app. He is the third cricketer after Suresh Raina and Shikhar Dhawan to be questioned in the case. The agency has also summoned Yuvraj Singh on Tuesday and actor Sonu Sood Wednesday in the same case for questioning.
All of them have been allegedly involved in endorsement of the illegal betting app and having received fees. The agency is probing the promoters and associates of 1xBet for illegally running a betting and gambling racket in the country and siphoning off the proceeds of crime out of India.
